Matthew carden
Matthew has spent more than two decades telling imaginative stories and winning countless awards with his food-based commercial and illustrative work. The Hollywood-raised pop culture aficionado is an alum of the San Francisco Art Institute and currently collaborates with Chronicle Books, Mattel, Star Wars, and Disney, where he reimagines scenes from life and media using food and miniatures. Matthew’s internationally collected imagery sets the artist apart from the hobbyists of the space. A pioneer of his craft who was raised in a neighborhood that was constantly used for movies and TV shows, Matthew’s ability to meld traditional experience with a childlike vision leads to work that’s just like him: uniquely whimsical and eternally young at heart.
