Sarah's artwork is a direct expression of her experiences in the beautiful outdoors. Her exploration of the trails feeds her visual palette which develops into textural scenes from nature. Sarah has always cherished her time art making. Whether it was hanging around her Dads wood shop or playing with different fabrics scraps from her moms projects, art making was woven into her DNA at a young age. During her thesis review in art school, Sarah’s professors advised her to move to the location of her muse, the mountains. After completing a BA in Art Education, she moved to Colorado and started her first career as an art teacher. Teaching art in the Vail Valley was one of the greatest adventures and one that she feels grateful to have been a part of. While teaching, she was able to inspire and spread her passion of creative thinking and making to a community of all ages each year. It was that spark of imagination and creative thinking that led her down a new path of interior design. Sarah started her new career as an interior designer, which gives her the opportunity to play with elements of art in the design world. She discovered that designing and painting share similar creative processes of carefully curated elements that fit together like pieces of a puzzle. Painting brings back the delight of the creative process and the tactile practice one brush stroke at a time.
