Starr Marchand
Starr was born in Chattanooga, TN and is an award-winning figurative artist known primarily for her studies in color and light, shadow and shine. “My work, these days tends to focus on animals and figures. My commissioned portrait work evokes the playful spirit of the subject. My mediums are primarily oil and metal leaf.” Starr has a diverse range of influences stemming from her time spent in Texas and the mountains of Colorado. For the last decade she has been back home in the South developing her craft, blending her love of travel and cultural experiences with her love of her southern roots.
